In my little corner of the blogosphere my friends have been shocked and saddened by the relatively sudden passing of dancingshaman. Huge efforts have been made to assist britgeekgirl in her time of need. This floors me completely, and gives me a small bit of hope for humanity as a whole.

I did not know Alex at all. I might have spoken to Johanna twice in my life. Neither are actually on my friends list at all as a matter of fact. But I see many of my friends hurting, in shock, grieving for the loss of their friend. I also see my friends pulling together; doing what they can to help Johanna who could really use it.

I hope that when Alex passed, he did so knowing that he was loved so deeply by so many. I hope that he is in a better place, and no longer in pain.

Facebook, after enduring a shitstorm of negative feedback from users of facebook and the press, agreed to restore a provision of their Terms of Service that terminates their rights to your content when you cancel your facebook account. We'll see how this shapes up.

Apparently my brother has decided that the car is not for him after all, so I'm letting all you lovely LJ people know that it is back on the market.
It is a red 1999 Saturn, it's in good shape, runs well, and gets over 35 MPG on average. Other questions, please let me know.

New front tires, rear tires still have about 20k miles of wear in them.
Manual Transmission, A/C but as I live on the peninsula it hasn't been used in years. 180,000 miles, mostly highway.
Aftermarket CD player w/removable face.

Big gifts. Seriously consider these...
1. I want my friends to feel as wonderful and spiffy as I think they are.
2. I want everyone to love and be loved in the way that they want.
3. I want everyone to love themselves and recognize that they and everyone else are pretty damn cool.

Those are the big ticket items. The big presents you could get me. Can't spring for one of those? Here's an idea for a stocking stuffer. I want to see my friends. I love you guys, seriously I do. Chances are you know who you are. So come hang out with me, ask me to a movie, I'll buy my own ticket. Or just give me a ring and say hi.

Even if you can't make one of the big ticket items happen, think about #3 for a bit would you please?
